Welcome to the Makutano Junction Activities

You will find a special edited exert from the Soap Opera that explores the theme of each activity. To watch this with your class click, 'Watch Related Video' to stream live from the internet, or 'Download Video' before your lesson. By mid-October 2008, the first four series (comprising 13 half hour episodes each) will be available for viewing via this website.

Please ask each of your students to complete the Survey before and after they participate in the activity. We need to find out about your students' understanding of Kenya in order to measure the impact of the project.

You will find a comment section with each activity. Please let us know how you get on. Did you discover any more curriculum links? Did you adapt the activity to span a series of lessons? Your feedback not only enables us to improve the activities, but also enables you to share your tips with other teachers across the UK.
