The Okodis

Mama Mboga's real name is Penina Okodi. She runs a stall at the market. Although she didn't go to school, she is a bright woman and is well respected in the market. Her husband Erasmus drinks too much and often beats her. He takes money from Mama Mboga and their daughter Peggy, who works in Mabuki's bar. Mary is at primary school and Joni is their baby son, but we're told that Mama Mboga has had many more children.
