Hope is the eldest daughter of Hannington and Bernadette, now in her thirties. She became pregnant in her late teens. The father of her child is Karis and they share a daughter called Diana.
Hope is bright and ambitious. So ambitious that she left her children with her mother while she made for the bright lights of Nairobi. Her brains and determination won her a nursing career and an important job with the UN. But now she’s returned to Makutano in order to get to know her daughter and, as a natural leader, she has set her sights on sorting out Makutano Junction. Not much gets in Hope’s way.
